Vigor Marine Seattle har med ca. et års forsinkelse tilendebragt renoveringen og ombygningen af færgen WENATCHEE, som sejler for Washington State Ferries. Ombygningen har dermed taget 21 måneder.

WENATCHEE er i forbindelse med værftsopholdet blevet ombygget til hybriddrift, og er nu USA’s største færge, som kan sejle på elektricitet. For at få plads til de 864 nye batterimoduler, er to af færgens gamle dieselmotorer blevet fjernet.
