
Italienske Grimaldi Group, har underskrevet en aftalememorandummet (Memorandum of Understanding) med spanske Armas Trasmediterránea Group, omkring køb af færger, terminaler og ruter. Dette er først skridt i et samarbejde mellem de to rederigrupper.

Efter underskrivelsen af aftalememorandummet foretages due diligence med det formål at indgå den endelige aftale og med overtagelse for den kommende sommersæson.
Det drejer sig om de fem færger CIUDAD DE PALMA, CIUDAD DE GRANADA, CIUDAD DE MAHÓN, VOLCÁN DEL TEIDE og VOLCÁN DE TIJARAFE, terminalerne i i Valencia og Barcelona samt kontorer og lagre på øerne Mallorca, Menorca og Ibiza.

Aftalen indeholder også at Grimaldi koncernen køber rettighederne til at operere mellem fastlandet Spanien og De Baleariske Øer, på følgende ruter: Barcelona – Mahon (Menorca), Barcelona – Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona – Ibiza, Valencia – Mahon, Valencia – Palma de Mallorca og Valencia – Ibiza.
