Det franske rederi Brittany Ferries, vil fra d. 12. november, sejle en ugentlig fragttur mellem Le Havre (Frankrig) og Rosslare (Irland), med RoPax færgen COTENTIN. CONTENTIN sejler normalt på ruten Portsmouth – Le Havre. Årsagen til den nye rute, er øget fragt mellem de to lande, hvor Brittany Ferries siden september, har sejlet med 76% mere gods om ugen, i forhold til årets første 8 måneder.

Brexit has delivered more headaches than opportunities, particularly on routes serving the UK and France. However, the so-called Brexit by-pass, where freight operations avoid the UK completely, is one area that has worked to our advantage.”
