
Det bliver Wärtsilä som skal levere fremdriftssystemet til Stena Lines to nye hybrid RoRo færger, som skal sejle på Det Irske Hav, nærmere bestemt mellem Belfast og Heysman.

Hver RoRo færge vil blive udstyret med to Wärtsilä 32M multibrændstofmotorer som vil kunne bruge metanol som brændstof, men også være klargjort for at kunne bruge ammoniak i fremtiden. Wärtsilä skal også levere gearkasserne, propeller (2 styk pr. færge), bovpropeller (3 styk pr. færge), navigationssystem, hjælpemotorer (3 styk pr. færge) og hybridsystemerne. Hybridsystemerne består af landstrøm, batterier, akselgeneratorer, omformere, transformere samt energistyringssystemet.

De to RoRo færger bliver bygget på det kinesiske værft China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai), med levering i henholdsvis juni og november 2025.
